American Transformation: How One Man's Journey Turned Into a Campaign for the US Presidency is a book about Tim Wilson's 2002 hike on the Pacific Crest Trail.  The trail winds for 2,650 miles through the deserts and Sierra Nevada mountains in California up to the Cascade Range of Oregon and Washington.  While Tim expected it to be a sabbatical from corporate America, it turned out to be a spiritual awakening that ultimately led to his presidential bid.
